Kay-Yah Ha Chickasaw is my latest single released July 2022. I co-wrote the song with Dawn Anita Plumlee who sadly passed on in 2021. The song tells the story of the Chickasaw people and their upheaval through the Trail of Tears and ultimate resettlement and flourishment in what is now known as the state of Oklahoma. The song was written to tell the story of the resilient Chickasaw and to bring honor and recognition to their legacy.
